After Mark's dramatic proposal, I sat in front of my computer and tried searching
for the things we need for the wedding. Marian, a friend from my previous company,
referred me to a wedding site. Good thing she's also preparing for her wedding,
so she gave me suggestions and articles regarding marriage.
We joined WeddingsAtWork last June 2001. There we met new friends and fellow
brides/grooms as well. The site provided different ways to approach your dream
wedding. I remembered the first time we attended a Bridal Talk at FHL, Cecille
one of the organizers asks us if we can be interviewed for Channnel 9's news.
It was a great experienced because we were exposed to different suppliers, methods
on how to choose and plan for the wedding.
The first bridal talk was about planning and delegating your budget for the
wedding. Ms. Rita Neri discussed everything, from make up all to way to shoes
and thank you notes for the guests. I also remembered how Rita talked to us
in a level that we believed that preparing for a wedding is just a prelude to
marriage. Marriage is the most important part we should deem on.
We were able to finish the entire session of the BT. It lasted for 2-3 months
with a minimal fee of P75. We get to taste sample dishes and desserts from Via
Mare, Albergus, Josiah's and Tamayos.
We enjoyed each and every topic! :)

What's DW?
DW or commonly called as DISCOVERY WEEKEND, tackles everything you need to know
about MARRIAGE. When I saw this at w@w's website, I immediately asked Mark if
we can attend the 2-3 days seminar. If I'm not mistaken, Lala, one of the receptionist,
was really accomodating and amiable. Though, swity kept on calling and asking
about the details, she answered him and showed a lot of patience. hehehe
It was on October 5-7, 2001 at OMNI Seminary that we had our DW. Noli and his
wife were really GREAT! They made the seminar interesting and lively. We even
sang my favorite song, YOU and I. I swear, everytime I hear that song I burst
into tears. I wasn't embarrassed at that time because we were all couples, and
mushy. :)
Those were the 3 wonderful and reflecting days of our lives. I was able to communicate
with Mark without ending in a squabble. Anyways, we wrote missives containing
our love for each other. They taught us how to end an argument, or simply the
KISS and MAKE UP method but in a more deeper way. Moreso, they made us realize
that in every relationship there should be a 2 way communication process. We
should all learn how to be the giver and taker, not the giver-martyr and taker-selfish
individual.
Dadiswity read his missive in front of the entire class. I was appalled in a
way, because he had the guts to tell everybody that I mean the world to him.
I ended up crying.
If we have the chance to go over that experience, We will attend DW for the
2nd time:)
