PROJECT NAME: Loyola Internet University
URL: [internal use only]
SINCE: 2001
Ah, another one of the fun projects we had at Loyola. See, the management was getting worried that people are becoming more and more archaic. Everyone in the building was afraid of computers. No one could see how convenient learning a bit of technology was.
So our boss, Mike Lagumbay, came up with an idea to train employees. Everyone in the building was tested for computer proficiency and they were divided into the Basic Group and the Advanced Group. We came up with training modules for both groups. I never realized until then how exhausting teaching can be, especially when you're training people who were afraid of technology because they didn't want to veer away from the old ways. Still, it was a challenge, and it made me think about getting my masters and doctorate so that I be a higher level educator in the future.
I mean, think about it. When I grow old, I could create a legacy and the knowledge I have wouldn't die with me. It could be passed on and developed by future world leaders. Hahahaha! Talk about ambition. =^.^=
