PROJECT NAME: Loyola Plans Main Website
URL: http://www.loyolaplans.com
SINCE: 2000, 2003
The Loyola website had a lot of versions as well as numerous URL incarnations. Though I worked with it from 2000-2002, it had only sported two of my designs. My first design came in 2001. The current (2003-2005) design it is sporting now is also mine. Of course, it's already been altered by the web designer who succeeded me. Most of the time, though, we left the design and some other elements to third parties.
I was more active in tinkering with its host and database. With the dotCom team dissolved, a new team was born and that team dealt with the processes more than the design. We worked on the blueprints of the e-commerce site (database structure, process flows, the works!) as well as the flow of information to be distributed via the website. You can say we were a bunch of systems analysts in that group.
This was one of the biggest babies I've worked with. My knowledge of ecommerce grew every step of the way. I also realized that sometimes, it can be a pain to deal with the Philippine banking system. But that was back then. Times are different now, with online banking being one of the few conveniences we enjoy now. eBanking didn't exist back then and we had to make do with what primitive tools we had.
Still, it was one of the best projects I've ever participated in. I also mistakenly thought it would be the last...
