Kuya Mel was actually our wedding photographer. The first time I saw his pictures online, I fell in love with his artwork immediately. 20+ years a photojournalist, the man really knows his craft. When we approached him, we didn't have the intention of offering him a website. In fact, work was the farthest from my mind back then. We just had to book him.
When he found out what I do for a living, he offered me an x-deal. I do his website, and he'll give me the package I wanted for half the price. He even threw in some additional freebies. Our prenuptial pictorial was one of those.
For a web designer, working with a true artist is a dream come true. His pictures complimented my site studies and monochrome, exactly how he wanted the site's theme to be, brought out the best in his photography.
If you're wondering why there's a version 0, that was the initial draft of version 1. It just so happened that there were lesser links before the final version came out. Also, Kuya Mel wanted a different set of pictures for the site.
