PROJECT NAME: Decent Homes Philippines
URL: http://www.decenthomesphilippines.com
SINCE: August 1, 2005

I didn't design DHP. The owner of the website, Cora Hallera, actually contacted me via Friendster and asked for my help. It was coincidental that I happened to be having a promo on web development. She already had an existing design but she had problems fixing it and putting her site together. She had apparently had a webmaster, but the project was left unfinished due to some uncontrollable circumstances.

The biggest hitch in the site was actually finding one page that showed exactly what the design should look like. Once I found that, I took a screenshot of it and tried to reconstruct the entire site the way it should look...or at least, originally looked. I completely recoded the pages and cleaned up the original source code. The task was daunting, since it's like starting work from scratch, except you had to deal with the last webmaster's work -- which also meant extra work. In less than a week's time, too. No programmer wants to work with another programmer's unfinished business. Every programmer knows how difficult it is to work with somebody else's codes or train/flow of thought...BUT...BUT...BUT...I LOVED IT. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.

I kinda enjoyed this one because I absolutely adored looking at the model units and model houses that were being offered on the website. DHP contains information about Century Properties and I found myself drooling at the facilities, amenities and all the other pictures you see in the site. It's also worthwhile to note that some of the condo units they sell are already fully furnished. It's prolly also a bonus that Ms. Hallera has that youthful, effervescent, taray personality that I kinda found amusing. ^^;;;

NOTES: Javascripting and copywriting/editing weren't part of the stuff I had to do for DHP.
