After deciding to abandon Turbulence,
I decided to put that project in a sub folder within my Geocities space
and turned it into a collective I would call Coolay. Coolay contained
all the things that I wanted to make sites for: music (Purple Rhythm/Red
Solfeggio), literature (Red Library/Shadow Oracle), and my Uranus shrine
(Turb).
Eventually, I noticed that I couldn't update these sites and so my idleness
allowed wacky thoughts to enter my head. I suddenly turned it into a hosting
venture (biggest mistake of my life), which I would later name Venturanza
Networks. After a while, Coolay became a Freebies E-Zine, which had tragic
results since freebies in the year 2000 were becoming nearly extinct.
It was during this time that online advertising was turning out to be
not as lucrative as every fallen dotcom company had thought it would be.
But it was in 2000 that I bought a domain for Coolay. It sat there for
2 years, rotting in inactivity...until a burst of inspiration urged me
to revive Purple Rhythm. The music site is back, but it's not purple anymore.
I think red really is Coolay's color.
