Thai Silk

Yet another super late post. Haha! Cris and I ate at Thai Silk at Serendra right after the 12th Philippine Web Awards. The place is actually a bit pricey, since you'd spend an average of PhP250-450 per dish, but since it seemed to be quiet (not many people when we checked), we chose to dine here.

I like the pretty lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the room is so zen!

Some roti for starters.

Okay, this is a new dish and I don't know what it's called (Kung Sarong?) but it's fried shrimp wrapped in egg noodles and served with cucumber relish. The noodles were crunchy, which gave the dish a rather interesting texture.

I ordered milk tea, which I kind of regretted since this is only made of brewed tea with condensed milk.

Cris ordered sticky rice with mango. This is yummy!

And I had buko sherbet for cleansing the palate.

Overall, there's nothing super special about Thai Silk (the price is a little bit too much) but I love the ambience. If you want some quiet time while being served by attentive waiters and waitresses (I liked the service because they were courteous, fast and friendly!) then this is something worth trying.

  1. i haven't eaten there yet but i am always fascinated by the design elements of its interior. ivy almario did it again. most of the restaurants she designed are really leaning towards chic and modern glitz.

  3. other ivy almario's designs were Romulo Cafe and Cerchio. i think she is partly involved with Terrace at 5th too.

  5. Those two you mentioned I have not tried. But I think I've reviewed a few Thai restaurants in here (since I love that soup that I believe is called tom yum). The first one I've ever tried, as a kid, was Sukothai. I wonder where that is now. Haha!
