Photo Gallery time!
I've actually been the recipient of a free buffet gift certificate from Astoria Plaza (in Ortigas) before and since I had a pleasant experience during that time (the buffet in Ortigas was really good and I would not mind paying for it because it only cost around PhP600+), I didn't think twice about accepting the invitation.
Longest dinner I've ever had, if you ask me. The 90-minute presentation that followed was about Club Astoria's vacation program. Honestly, I found out later that it was kind of controversial (do a search on "club astoria" or "astoria scam" and you'll see what I mean), which is a shame because I really enjoy eating at Astoria's Ortigas hotel. What I probably did not appreciate was that despite politely declining at the beginning of the offer, we were still made to stay for about 3 hours more, listening to a hard seller's spiel even though our heads were screaming, "We dowanna!!!"
Gah. When we left, we were hungrier than when we first arrived!
Determined to save the rest of my birthday night, we decided to have dessert instead. I wanted cake.
We later decided to just enjoy the sea and the sand. While everyone else partied Boracay style, we were playing with our shadows on the moonlit beach.
That, for me, was the best part of the best birthday celebration I've ever had. =^.^=
